At the time it was part of what got him in trouble with the USA and he had to live out the rest of his days in Switzerland. But Chinese schools teaching their pupils that they are a race superior to all other races sounds pretty much like racism in my books.

What is racism anyway? My dictionary says:”(prejudice) based on belief in the superiority of particular race; antagonism towards other races.” Wait a minute, where do they still teach the superiority of their own race in school? I know it used to be Germany but I quite think where it is now.

Of course, in hindsight we can appreciate his great film but at the time it got him in hot water.
