Good as these Fact Fridays and Adeverb Mondays are, can we get some of your normal posts back please? I’m missing a good insightful MyLaowai rant.

Rants take time, my brother. I’ll see what I can do to get myself in a real lather – perhaps I may even go outside and talk to a local. That works every time.

Walk down the street wearing summer clothes before the government officialy declare its Summer. That should provide you with some ammunition.

Creativity usually doesn’t come under pressure. That said, A Proper Breakfast is still OK.

Ok, COMPETITION TIME! I’m open to suggestions for my next rant.
Not that I don’t have plenty of my own material, y’know…

OK. But I’ll only pass on ideas that I can’t exploit myself. Thinking time.

Just a working title (to avoid limiting anyones imagination): Wang Xiansheng´s Island.

Saturday was Serf Emancipation Day. I totally missed it. How did you celebrate?
MyLaowai said
I celebrated by liberating Mrs MyLaowai from her money. It was only a half-hearted celebration, because she didn’t find herself liberated from her family or her arms and legs, in the traditional manner.
I also chose to liberate a beggar from some of his teeth, and also by liberating myself from the effects of sobriety.

Nobody’s getting my serfs. I’m keeping ’em.

Typical Capitalist. Serfs should be for everyone. Free the serfs from private ownership, I say, just as the Party did.

Serfdom is feudalistic, not capitalistic. This is the scientific definition.

JR, for the record, your suggestion for a post title was never overlooked. In fact, it has become the title for a series of posts. You will see them in 2010 if I ever get them right.
MyLaowai said
Yeah, so I didn’t get around to it in 2010. Sorry about that. It’s still in draft stage.
Note for 2011: Must try harder.

First of all, a happy new year. I don’t know what Chinese language courses look like in the English-speaking world, but I’ll send you some pictures from a language course textbook from Germany in a while. Might be useful.
