scrumptious

Definition:
1. extremely pleasing to the sense of taste

Pronunciation: skruhmp-shuhs

Origin: 1836, probably a colloquial alteration of sumptuous (q.v.). Originally “stylish, splendid;” sense of “delicious” is from 1881.

Example: Chicken claws make a scrumptious dish.
